DAY 01: LIMA

Overnight in Lima.

Departure from Lima to the city of Paracas by tourist bus. Upon arrival, transfer to the pier to begin a motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, within the Paracas National Reserve, the most important wildlife sanctuary on the Peruvian coast. Along the way, you will be able to see the mysterious Candelabra, an ancient figure drawn on the sand. On the islands, you will see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, guano birds and impressive rock formations. After the excursion, we will continue to Ica, where we will visit El Catador winery to learn about the traditional production of wine and pisco, with a tasting included. There will be free time for lunch to enjoy typical dishes from the region. Later, we will visit the Huacachina Oasis, surrounded by palm trees and enormous dunes. We will take a walk along the promenade and visit the Huacachina Mermaid monument and the handicraft center. The adventure will continue in the desert aboard dune buggies, enjoying the scenery and practicing sandboarding. Finally, transfer to the station for the return trip to Lima and arrival at the hotel.

In the morning, we will enjoy a tour of Lima, beginning in the modern and elegant residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro.

Our first stop will be Intihuatana Park, located on the Miraflores waterfront promenade, where we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

We will continue with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pre-Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of a pyramid. We will then visit El Olivar Park and the San Isidro Financial District.

The tour will continue to the Historic Center of Lima, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. We will visit San Martín Square and the Plaza Mayor, where the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, Lima City Hall and Desamparados Station are located.

We will enter the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of the most important convents of the 17th century, which houses the relics of Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres and Saint John Macias.

At the end of the tour, you may choose to stay at the Indian Market, visit Larcomar or return to your hotel.

At the scheduled time, transfer to Lima Airport to board the flight to Cusco.

At the time arranged with our operations team, and depending on your train schedule, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin this unforgettable experience. Our private transportation will take you to the train station in the charming town of Ollantaytambo, on a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes through the beautiful Sacred Valley.

Once at the station, we will board the PeruRail or Inca Rail train, according to your ticket, and begin a scenic journey through impressive Andean landscapes to the town of Aguas Calientes (2,700 meters above sea level). Upon arrival, our assistant will be waiting to accompany you to the bus station. From there, we will ascend 400 meters in elevation along a winding road to the entrance of the majestic Machu Picchu Sanctuary, known worldwide as the “Lost City of the Incas.”

Upon arrival, our specialist guide will welcome you and, once the group has gathered, we will begin the tour along the assigned circuit. For approximately 2 hours, we will explore the main areas of the Inca citadel while our guide shares fascinating accounts of its history, architecture and cultural significance. You will also have time to take unforgettable photos and videos of this impressive site.

At the end of the visit, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch or to stroll through the picturesque town. In the afternoon or evening, depending on your train schedule, you must arrive at the station 25 minutes early to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. There, our driver will be waiting to take you comfortably back to the city of Cusco.

The adventure begins very early, with pickup from your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. We will travel for approximately two and a half hours by tourist vehicle to the picturesque town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast to recharge our energy.

We will continue by vehicle for another hour to Soraypampa (3,870 meters above sea level), the starting point of our hike. From here, we will set out on an approximately two-hour hike to the impressive Humantay Lake, located at an altitude of 4,200 meters.

Upon arrival, you will be amazed by the lake’s intense turquoise color, framed by the majestic snow-capped Humantay and Salkantay mountains, which were considered sacred by the Incas. Although the ascent may be demanding, the visual and spiritual reward will be unforgettable.

After enjoying the serenity and beauty of the area, we will begin the descent to Soraypampa, an approximately one-and-a-half-hour hike. We will then return to Mollepata to enjoy a satisfying buffet lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at around 6:00 p.m.

Free day to stroll around the main square, visit the Twelve-Angled Stone and the San Blas neighborhood, or shop at the handicraft market.

Our adventure to the impressive Rainbow Mountain begins early, at 4:00 a.m., when we head south to the town of Quiquijana. Here, we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, ideal for recharging our energy before continuing the tour.

We will then board our vehicle again and travel for approximately 2 hours to the starting point of the hike. Before we begin, our guide will provide important instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Those who prefer to make the journey on horseback may also arrange this in advance with the guide.

The hike to Vinicunca takes approximately 1 hour, during which we can admire the majestic Hatun Ritti Glacier (4,925 meters above sea level) and the incredible diversity of Andean flora and fauna. Upon reaching the famous Mountain of Seven Colors, we will have enough time to explore, take photographs and record videos of this spectacular landscape.

After enjoying the panoramic view, we will return along the same trail to the starting point, where our vehicle will take us back to Quiquijana for a buffet lunch.

After lunch, we will begin our return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:30 to 5:00 p.m.

  • Approximate check-in times are 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., and check-out times are 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. These times may vary depending on the selected hotel.
  • Hotels are subject to availability and may be replaced by others in the same category. If there is a change, the new availability will be communicated and the rate will be reconfirmed.
  • During the high season (June, July and August), rates must be reconfirmed because, once hotels reach 70% occupancy, they apply increases in accordance with their booking policies.
  • The hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo is more basic, although it belongs to the same category as the hotels in Cusco.
  • Pickup for all tours is from the hotel. Return drop-off for the Rainbow Mountain, Humantay Lake, Qeswachaka Bridge and Waqra Pukara tours is only at San Francisco Square or Regocijo Square, located two blocks from the Main Square.
  • Not all hotels have triple rooms. Availability will be confirmed when the reservation is made.
