ECO ADVENTURE 04 DAYS – 03 NIGHTS
The Eco Adventure 4 Days / 3 Nights program offers an immersive journey into the Peruvian Amazon, starting in Puerto Maldonado, widely known as the capital of biodiversity in Peru. From here, travelers navigate along the Lower Madre de Dios River to a comfortable eco-lodge surrounded by pristine rainforest, where unforgettable wildlife encounters and jungle explorations await.
The itinerary features visits to remarkable locations such as the Apu Víctor Lake viewpoint, Monkey Island, and the remote Lost Lake (Cocha Perdida), a wetland ecosystem rich in wildlife. Along the way, guests may encounter exotic birds, monkeys, caimans, turtles, and even the majestic giant river otter. This program perfectly blends adventure, nature, and authentic rainforest experiences, making it ideal for travelers seeking a deeper connection with the Amazon.
DAY 01: ECO AMAZONIA IN
Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the Biodiversity Capital of Peru, we will welcome you at the airport to begin our program. We will take a brief guided city tour by bus and then head to Capitanía Port, where you will board our boat. We will navigate along the Lower Madre de Dios River toward our lodge, located 30 km from the city.
During the journey, you will be able to admire rural landscapes, heliconia plantations and, if conditions allow, local wildlife such as capybaras, caimans, turtles, herons and birds of prey.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing Amazonian fruit nectar and escorted to your comfortable bungalow. Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in our rustic dining room.
In the afternoon, our guide will lead you along an interpretive trail to Caiman Lake, a lagoon where you can observe black and white caimans, key predators of the ecosystem.
Upon returning, a delicious dinner will be waiting for you, followed by free time to relax at our bar with board games and a wide selection of drinks. The serenity of the Amazon night and the sounds of the surrounding wildlife will be the perfect ending to your day.
DAY 02: ECO AMAZONIA
The songs of Amazonian birds will mark the beginning of a new day. After a revitalizing breakfast, we will begin a hike toward Lake Apu Victor, crossing different ecosystems of the tropical rainforest.
Along the way, we will observe fruit, forest and medicinal trees, as well as a great diversity of wildlife, from mammals such as the tapir and the giant river otter to birds such as macaws and toucans.
From the Amazon viewpoint, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the lake and its wildlife, including caimans, turtles and seasonal fish. Upon returning to the lodge, a comforting lunch awaits us.
In the afternoon, we will visit Monkey Island, a natural sanctuary that hosts various species of primates and exotic birds. The day will end with a spectacular sunset and a delicious dinner at the lodge.
DAY 03: ECO AMAZONIA
Waking up in the Amazon rainforest will be accompanied by the sounds of howler monkeys and birds of paradise. After a revitalizing breakfast, we will begin a hike toward Lost Lake (Cocha Perdida), exploring well‑preserved trails and crossing bridges over temporary streams.
During the hike, we will discover fruit, forest and medicinal trees essential for life in the rainforest and, with luck, we will spot different species of mammals, primates, birds and reptiles.
Upon reaching Lost Lake, we will climb a viewpoint to admire the vast wetland and its ecosystem, a refuge for endemic wildlife. Later, we will navigate its waters in search of the majestic giant river otter.
Back at the lodge, we will enjoy an excellent lunch. The afternoon will be free for photography, exploring the botanical garden or relaxing. In the evening, a delicious dinner will close the day, with the option to enjoy the bar and game room.
DAY 04: ECO AMAZONIA OUT
After a restful night, the powerful call of the red howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus) will remind you that you are in its natural habitat and that it is time to depart. Before returning to Puerto Maldonado, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast in our dining room to start the day with energy.
