7 LAKES OF AUSANGATE
The 7 Lakes of Ausangate Tour is a full-day hiking experience that invites you to discover stunning Andean landscapes. During the journey, you will visit seven impressive turquoise-green lakes, located in the majestic Vilcanota Mountain Range, surrounded by the imposing peaks of Ausangate and Ayangate.
As a perfect complement to the adventure, you will have the opportunity to relax in natural hot springs, enjoying privileged views of the mountains and the surrounding natural environment, where tranquility and Andean life are felt at their fullest.
Information:
The 7 Lakes of Ausangate Tour begins at approximately 4:00 a.m., heading south of Cusco toward the village of Pacchanta (4,400 m.a.s.l.). Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast and then make the final preparations before starting the hike.
Once ready, we will begin a hike of approximately 2 hours, during which we will admire the impressive natural beauty of the area, its Andean flora and fauna, and especially the majesty of Apu Ausangate.
The first lake we will visit is Pucacocha, followed by Comer Cocha, Huju Cocha, Gris Cocha, Otorongo Cocha (Female and Male), and Azul Cocha. At each lake, there will be time to take photos and record videos.
After this unforgettable scenic journey, we will begin the descent back to the village of Pacchanta, where we will enjoy a comforting lunch. To end the day, those who wish may relax in the Pacchanta Hot Springs (optional).
Later, we will board our transportation back to Cusco, with an approximate arrival time of 7:30 p.m.
