RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Vinicunca Mountain, known worldwide as the Rainbow Mountain or Seven Colors Mountain, is one of the most impressive natural landscapes in the Peruvian Andes and forms part of the surroundings of the majestic Apu Ausangate. Its unique colors make it a truly fascinating and one-of-a-kind destination.
The Rainbow Mountain Tour in Cusco (Vinicunca) has become one of the most important tourist attractions in the country, currently ranking as the second most visited destination in Peru, only after Machu Picchu. Information:
Our adventure to the impressive Rainbow Mountain begins early, at 04:00 a.m., when we depart from Cusco heading south to the town of Quiquijana. There, we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, perfect for recharging our energy before continuing the journey.
Afterwards, we will board our transportation again and travel approximately 2 hours to the starting point of the hike. Before beginning, our guide will provide important safety instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Additionally, those who wish may choose to complete the route on horseback, upon prior coordination with the guide on site.
The hike to Vinicunca lasts approximately 1 hour, during which we will admire the majestic Hatun Ritti Glacier (4,925 m.a.s.l.) and the incredible diversity of Andean flora and fauna.
Upon reaching the famous Seven Colors Mountain, we will have ample time to explore, take photographs, and capture videos of this spectacular natural landscape.
After enjoying the panoramic views, we will begin our return along the same route to the starting point, where transportation will be waiting to take us back to Quiquijana, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.
Once lunch is finished, we will start our journey back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

To enjoy this Andean experience with greater comfort and safety, we recommend bringing the following:
- Lightweight backpack with a change of clothes for the day
- Waterproof clothing for rain (jacket and pants, if available)
- Rain poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco at an affordable price)
- Sturdy footwear; waterproof trekking boots are recommended
- Extra socks
- Warm clothing: jacket, fleece layers, gloves, scarf, and hat
- Thermal clothing (highly recommended)
- Camera with extra batteries (cold weather reduces battery life)
- Hat or cap to protect from sun, cold, and rain
- Sunscreen
