HUAYPO LAGOON + MARAS ATV TOUR
Enjoy an off-road adventure on the Huaypo Lagoon and Maras ATV Tour, traveling through stunning Andean landscapes and picturesque villages that preserve a vibrant and authentic culture. During this experience, you will delight your senses by visiting the peaceful Huaypo Lagoon, surrounded by mountains, and the iconic Maras Salt Mines, a spectacular set of salt terraces that impress with their beauty and ancestral tradition.
Information:
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel at approximately 7:00 a.m. From there, we will head to our base located in the Maras district, on a journey of about 1 hour.
Upon arrival, our guides will provide a detailed explanation of the route along with the necessary safety instructions. Afterwards, we will have a 15-minute practice session so participants can become familiar with operating the ATVs.
Our first stop will be at Huaypo Lagoon, where we will enjoy a 20-minute visit to admire the beautiful scenery and learn more about this peaceful and charming destination.
The ATV ride will then continue for approximately 2 hours, although the duration may vary depending on the group’s pace.
At the end of the route, we will return to the base and take transportation to the Maras Salt Mines, where we will enjoy a 20-minute visit to explore this impressive complex of stepped salt pools dating back to Inca times.
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, concluding an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, natural landscapes, and Andean culture.

- Comfortable clothing suitable for walking and riding an ATV
- Water bottle (minimum 1 liter)
- Camera with extra batteries
- Sun protection items: sunglasses, hat or cap
- Light snacks (energy bars, dried fruits, chocolates, etc.)
