CUSCO CITY TOUR AM/PM

At the scheduled time, according to the selected schedule (morning or afternoon), our transportation will pick you up from your hotel to begin this fascinating tour of Cusco’s main tourist attractions.

During the afternoon schedule, we will begin by visiting the impressive Cusco Cathedral, also known as the Church of the Holy Family, an architectural gem from the colonial era. We will then head to the Temple of the Sun, known as Qoricancha or “Golden Enclosure,” one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire, where Inca architecture blends with colonial construction.

We will continue with the visit to the four archaeological sites near Cusco:

• Sacsayhuamán, whose name in Quechua means “satisfied falcon,” famous for its enormous stone blocks assembled with astonishing precision.
• Qenqo, meaning “labyrinth,” a ceremonial center featuring underground passages and ritual channels.
• Puka Pukara, or “Red Fortress,” a strategic military site with walls and terraces.
• Tambomachay, known as the “Baths of the Inca,” a ceremonial site possibly dedicated to the worship of water, featuring perfectly preserved fountains and aqueducts.
